About me..

Rooted in a tradition of artistry and meticulous attention to detail, About Søren

I grew up in a small town in Denmark. I learned my wood working skills in the art of organ building.

Furniture making was always the goal. The trouble was that in Denmark, most furniture businesses have faded over the years, and the one place left to learn the real craft of working wood was organ building. So that is where I went.

Organ building gave me more than technique. It taught me precision, because nothing in an organ can be approximate. It taught me how long it takes to make something properly, and to pay attention to detail that most people will never consciously notice, but always feel.

I left Denmark to move with my children to Australia. Organ building stayed behind, and today I build furniture and nothing else.

Everything I make is bespoke. I don't design a table in the abstract. I design it for a particular space and a particular person, and I involve you in every stage, so the piece fits your life, your needs and your own creativity. My work is grounded in the Danish aesthetic and in the celebrated pieces that set the standard for it. Within that tradition, every commission is its own.

I'm based in Brisbane, but I work with clients anywhere, mostly across eastern Australia and New Zealand. design ethos embraces understated elegance and nuanced aesthetics. Every creation is a testament to cultivated taste and timeless quality—crafted for connoisseurs who discern the exquisite in the everyday.
